As some of you may recall, though a bit hesitant at first, I decided to take an event planning winter course. I’m glad I did, because doing so gave me a better understanding of just how much preparation goes into planning an event.
I worked alongside some amazing gals. Alexandra, Dolma, Ada and I used our initials to come up with the name of our agency.

Our clients are Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Kim wants a simple, intimate and sophisticated wedding. The couple has agreed to a New York City wedding which will take place at the Plaza Hotel. In order to protect their privacy, we have decided to shut down the hotel on the day of the wedding (Saturday, May 10, 2014). We will emphasize security all throughout to ensure that no paparazzis make it past the entrance.
A few of the details we took into consideration:
- -Date, Time, Place
- -Number of guests
- -Guest list and seating chart
- -Invitations / RSVPs
- -Budget: G.A.D.A. Events Agency’s fee, security, liability insurance, venue, catering, decor, entertainment, photographer/videographer, design and printing
We divided the work based on our interests:
Geraldine – Decor

Alexandra – Manager (contacted venue and security)

Dolma – Catering

Ada – Fashion
