Public relations students are often encouraged to blog and this makes sense. What better way to understand bloggers than by becoming one? Of course, the desire to blog should be genuine or it’ll show.
I started this blog in November, and I’ve learned a lot. When I started blogging I worried about running out of ideas but funny enough, inspiration is all around. When you like what you do, the ideas will come.
Blogging is great, and I’ll tell you why:
- It helps me organize my thoughts. Experiences I would’ve previously dismissed now hold greater significance. Blogging has motivated me to look at everything from a different perspective. I don’t wait for inspiration; it’s all around me – in the things I have a new found appreciation for.
- People change. We all do. This isn’t a bad thing – just a realistic one. Luckily, this blog gives me the opportunity to look back and see how my way of thinking has changed and improved.
- While many will have to make their own mistakes in order to learn, my experiences can serve as guidance for those facing similar situations. What I like most about blogging is that it gives me the opportunity to reach out to others.
Are you a blogger? What do you like most about blogging?
